We understand that distance learning at the end of the school year for our after school kids was no easy task. Providing distance learning is just not a feasible long-term option for many families. We wanted to take some time and address our plans for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. During these times there is much uncertainty of how we will return to school. We have several plans in place that mirror the Granite School District so we can support families depending on how the school year begins.
School resumes as normal. We will provide regular after school programming for all families in attendance at Oakridge, Eastwood, and Morningside.
Children will have A and B days (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday). All children will have Friday off. Mount Olympus will keep children at the center on their non-school days and support families with distance learning. We will also provide pick up from Oakridge, Eastwood, and Morningside during all days needed.
Families may choose not to return to school and have distance learning as an option. Mount Olympus will provide programming for students to distance learn, while parents are at work. Schools will implement distance learning online or through packets. We encourage the use of packets but will work to accommodate internet use if needed. $670/month
- Health checks will be performed before entering the building for all children
- Children must sanitize hands and wear a mask while in the vans
- Children must wash hands upon arrival to Mt. Olympus
- Increased hand-washing throughout the day
- Increased cleaning of the classroom and common areas
Although the future is unclear, we are confident that these plans will ensure a positive school experience. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.
